Terms of Service

The agreement between you and ChatBolt.

Last updated: 2026-06-01

This is a clearly-written template. We recommend you also have a lawyer review it for your jurisdiction before relying on it commercially.

1. The service

ChatBolt provides software that lets your team manage WhatsApp Business conversations and a website chat widget. We are not Meta; WhatsApp is Meta's trademark and you must comply with Meta's WhatsApp Business policies in addition to these terms.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 and authorized to bind your business. You're responsible for the security of your account and for what your team does on it.

3. Free plan

Our Free plan is genuinely free: every feature is unlocked, with small monthly usage limits. There is nothing to refund on Free. You may keep using Free for as long as you wish.

4. Paid plans & billing

Paid plans renew monthly until cancelled. You can change plan at any time from your Billing page; upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period. Cancellation stops future charges; you retain access until period end.

5. Meta's charges are separate

Meta bills you for WhatsApp conversation fees directly. Those charges are between you and Meta and are not part of your ChatBolt subscription. We do not mark them up. We are not responsible for Meta's pricing or policy changes.

6. Acceptable use

You must not use the service for spam, scraping, illegal content, harassment, impersonation, or anything prohibited by Meta's WhatsApp Business policies. See the Acceptable Use Policy.

7. Your data, our data

You own your data — your contacts, your messages, your knowledge base. We process it on your behalf solely to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. We retain ownership of the ChatBolt platform, code, and our trained AI models.

8. AI outputs

Our assistant answers in your name based on the knowledge base you approve. AI outputs are not legal, medical, or financial advice. You're responsible for reviewing the answers you approve and for the conversations your team has with customers. We do our best to make the assistant accurate and on-brand but cannot warrant every reply.

9. Service modifications

We continually improve the service. We may add, change, or remove features. We will not make a materially adverse change to paid plans without reasonable notice.

10. Warranty disclaimer & liability cap

The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to fees you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or USD 100 if higher).

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the service, your content, or your violation of these terms or Meta's policies.

12. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially breach these terms, Meta's policies, or applicable law. You may cancel at any time from Billing. On cancellation we retain your data for 30 days then delete it.

13. Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where ChatBolt is established. Any dispute will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction unless mandatory consumer-protection laws say otherwise.

14. Force majeure

Neither party is liable for failures caused by events beyond reasonable control (Meta API outages, network failures, natural disasters, etc.).
